It's A Full Moon Tonight!

Because it is a full moon tonight I decided to do a simple spell





I lit a green candle and placed it in front of an open window! Since the color green is related to wealth and prosperity I wanted to welcome wealth and prosperity into my life and into my home.

No chants, or words - just a lit green candle sitting by an open window (thank goodness the weather is nice tonight!) to call and welcome prosperity into my home!



I'm quite sure that this is not an original kind of spell. It just "came" to me as I was in the room and there was a green candle "staring" at me so I decide that since the color green is associated with prosperity - I would light the candle tonight.

Do you think that seeing the candle and getting the "inspiration" to light it and put it near an open window was a calling of some kind? I kind of think that it was.



I should also add that I just noticed on my blog that tonight is a new moon - and I didn't even know this when I lit the candle!

Of course the new moon is a good to do spells that have to do with wanting to start something anew. It is also a good time for spells when you want to increase something (in my case prosperity) because this is the time when the new moon is waxing which means that it is increasing in shape (and power) and I didn't even know this when I lit the candle! I really definitely think that this was a sign - casting a spell at almost the perfect correspondence time of the moon!

Friday, October 22nd - Full Moon!

Checking my calendar I know that this upcoming Friday will be the night of a full moon!

I know that this is the time when doing spellwork will be at its best time!

I was thinking about doing another prosperity spell since the night of the full moon is the best time to do a spell!



What will I use for my spell?

This time I think that I will make it more simple by using just a green candle and writing up an incantation to chant.

I heard this from a friend who is devoted to the Irish Goddess Brigid.

In the old days, a well was an open pool that formed around a spring. They were holy places, where water came magically from the earth.

The custom developed of offering the spirit of the well a coin, with the spirit granting a wish to the gift-giver in return.

Today, you can toss a coin in a fountain or a creek or stream.

Just make a wish beforehand, and always leave without looking back.

Here Is A Simple Money Spell

Here is a simple money / prosperity spell that I have had so long that I forgot where I got it from! It is definitely in my Book of Shadows.

It has worked for me and I hope that it works for you!

You will need:

• a candle - a white candle can be used for all spells but since this is a money spell it would be better if you used a green candle. I have done this spell before and used one of those tealight candles - in both green and white
  
  
• vegetable oil

Inscribe the candle with your name and the amount of money that you would like to have.

Light the candle

and say these words:

"Money Come

And Money Grow

Money's Mine

To Me It Flows"

You can either let the candle burn itself down or blow out the candle before you leave the room - DO NOT LEAVE A CANDLE BURNING WHEN YOU ARE NOT IN THE ROOM TO WATCH IT!

Like I have said above this spell has worked for me in small degrees! It has brought me money when I very much needed it. Even though the amounts have been small I attribute that to my concentration and focus which I have to work more harder on.

Another tale of manifestation magic?

I have posted many times here on my blog about my financial troubles. I have also posted some inspiring links to other sites that have inspirational messages that I sometimes even use myself.

What I want is to be successful in my career that I have chosen which is that of writing. There are some bills that I have that are of the nomal sort - mortgage, utilities and the like - that I sometimes struggle with. Another bill that I have is that of my mother's nursing home bill. My mother died last year and there was still a balance due on her nursing home bill. I started to pay this undue balance. Besides the fact that the nursing home had a claim on her estate the fact of the matter is that this was a very good nursing home and I'm glad that my mother received the kind of care that she did. The staff was so nice and they treated her with such respect and friendship that I was glad that she was there. There were also a lot of other residents there that helped for the atmosphere.

Well the unpaid balance started at just over $4,000. I was paying about $50 a month towards that balance. About 9 months later after making the monthly payments that balance that was due was cut down to just over $2,000. Imagine my surprise! It was due to my mother's insurance who before this wouldn't pay for the bill at all even though the nursing home submitted the bill to them more than once.

Well I welcomed that decrease in the balance due - more than I could tell you!

Although my finacial obligations were still a struggle I still continued to make the monthly payments and I still continued my sessions of meditation and my sessions of manifesting and my various spells to achieve what is that I wanted which was wealth.

I got behind on the payment for the month and was worrying and fretting about it. Well guess what I got in the mail? It was another billing statement from the nursing home and on it was the balance currently due and it was $0! Again imagine my surprise!

I am thoroughly convinced that my mind and other forms of mental things that I did had something to do with this. I kind of ponder why the results turned out the way that they did because it wasn't exactly what I wanted. But I know that some of you that will read this will tell me that my thoughts are working even though they may not be working in the way that I wanted them to. Not having to pay this monthly bill leaves me with additional money and I think that that is part of the magic that I created.

So, what do you think about this?

How Spells Can Manifest.......

I was organizing my bills for the month and came upon my heating bill. Looking at it reminded me of a spell I did and how it turned out.

I wrote a spell all by myself. In the beginning I was told that writing one's own spell would make it more personal - so that's what I did. The beginning line of the spell was "Decrease my stress, my worries, my hell........." and it was a spell to bring me financial gain. I wrote out the spell, chanted it in front of a burning white candle and then let the candle burn out. How did my spell manifest? My heating bill came to $0 - TWICE! Imagine my shock! And it was during the winter when the heating bill is at its highest!

Looking back on this spell (and I noted it in my Book Of Shadows) I think it manifested the way it did because I was probably thinking about my bills at the time and this resulted in the spell turning out the way it did.

It was a kooky kind of result but it just made me want to try it more and this isn't my last "money" spell!

Money Spells!

Well I just paid a major bill today and its bumming me out because I had to tap into my savings in order to pay it! However I haven't given up my desires and dreams of financial abundance and wealth. That's why it was a welcomed surprise to find a post from somebody in a message forum that I recently joined (and I'm glad that I did join!)

One of the only two seminars I attended during Heartland this year was Dorothy Morrison's money spell seminar. I liked her work before, but hearing her in person and speaking with her afterwards really settled it that I like her work.
So, I thought I'd share a little of what Dorothy had to say, as well as my own thoughts on the matter. First off, let's address a couple of things about why most of us don't do money magic for ourselves.

1: We don't think we should ask for money. We think it makes us shallow or greedy. We think that it is wrong to use our magic in such a way to benefit ourselves.
Dorothy's response to that, and my own, is BULLSHIT. We have the ability to use magic to better our lives, right? So stop being a pansy-ass and get on with it. You've got the power to demand that your needs be met, so use it and stop whining about it. Okay? ;) And don't beg. Tell the universe to bloody well get on with it and get you the cold hard cash you need. Girls, remember when you were a little girl and you'd look at Daddy and say "I NEED that!" and he'd get it for you? Bring that back out in yourself. It is quite alright to tell the universe "I NEED cash!" and expect that you'll get what you need.

2: We are under the impression that wealth will change us into assholes.
Dorothy's response was "Are you an asshole now? No? Then don't worry about it." Mine is "Money won't change you, but it will allow you to live without worrying all the time and give you more opportunity to do good for the world around you." So don't worry about this. If you're an asshole now, you'll be an asshole with nicer things. If you're not, you'll still be you, with nicer things.

3: We're afraid of the "cost" of asking for money.
If you ask for money and a week later Aunt Millie dies and leaves you the money you need, OMG did your spell kill Aunt Millie??? No. It didn't. It may have encouraged her to put you in her will before she died, but you did not cause it. So chill.

There're other reasons why we hesitate to ask for cold hard cash. If you have one, feel free to toss it at me and we'll disspell that one, too. :D

So, now that we know that casting money magic for ourselves is fine and dandy, how the hell do we do it effectively?

There's a plethora of money spells out there. Scott Cunningham's seven dimes spell, for example, is a great one. (I am pulling a total blank on which book it is in at the moment). Need a certain amount of money for something? Carve that amount into a candle and burn that sucker up. For ongoing financial abundance (and do specify that you're asking for financial abundance- abundance sounds great but who wants an abundance of problems? Yeah- the universe isn't smart. It will hear exactly what you ask for, so be specific people and save yourself aggravations in the long run! Ask me how I know this...) set yourself up a money shrine. Ganesha loves to help people out, and he's pleased as punch to go get you a steady flow of cash if you tell him to. Yes, TELL him. Stack quarters, dimes, nickles, pennies, and paper money around him. Give him your change. Bring him some flowers or incense and tell him "I NEED cash, Laughing One, so go get it for me." When you get the money you need, take the money from his shrine and use if for something worthwhile. Put it in savings, or donate it to a worthy cause, or even take it to the crossroads and scatter it to share the wealth if you like. Give it away if possible and it will come back to you! There's also those Japanese frogs and the cats and other statues that are meant to draw money into your life. Use them! If your decor doesn't work with them, create ones that have the same symbolism for yourself that do work in your decor. If you choose to use the god statues, do set them up so that you can give the presents to say thank you for their hard work on your behalf.

Whatever spells you work, don't keep doing it day after day unless it is meant to be worked over a longer period. KNOW that your spell is working and leave it be. After all, if you believe your spell will work, you don't need to reinforce it over and over again, now do you? Nope.
If you cast a money spell one day, then do it again the next, what are you telling the universe? "I don't really think that first one will work, so I'm doing it again." Well, damn. That just cancelled out both of them, because if you don't believe in your magic one day, you don't believe in it period, so why should the universe give you anything? Hmmm?
We all need money, don't we? We all need enough to live well and comfortably. How much that is for you is up to you. If you're happiest living like royalty you'll need more than someone who prefers to live out of a camper and cook over a fire. Ask for what you need to live comfortably to your standards. Don't be modest or shy, don't cut yourself short, either. You need $XXX,XXX.00 a year to be happy? DEMAND IT!

Do what you can mundanely to earn money, too, naturally. While the universe will provide, you have to be ready to take advantage of the opportunity when it arises. And don't look the gift horse in the mouth. If money comes your way, take it. Be honest, of course, but don't turn down money when you've asked for it.

I have to tell you that after I read this post I felt a whole lot better! One of the things that I read was about how when you do a spell (especially when it has to do with money) to not do it over and over again because in essence its like saying that the first spell didn't work. I have to confess that there have been times when I have done a money spell and it didn't manifest right away I did that same spell over. Now I know not to do that (unless it is a continuing spell and not just the same spell done over and over again for one result) same spell over and over again and to have faith in the spell that I did do.

By the way I did a money spell this morning!
