I'm just testing
Diary of a beginner Witch! That's me! I have completed my "year and day" of study and one of the most important things that I have found out is that I will always be learning and studying!. A journal of my journies, paths, experiences and musings. My path is that of a hedge/green/kitchen witch. So far my path has been that of a solitary witch but I do communicate with others online.
I know that there are some witches in my area because I have been to the Witchvox's Pennsylvania directory and there are a lot of them!
I haven't met any yet and there's nothing wrong with being a solitary witch and it helps to know that I'm not the only one.
I can honestly and truly say that I have completed my first successful spell! I have done spells before but they haven't manifested as much or the way that I wanted them to. But I use this as a reason to learn more and to learn why they didn't work the way that I wanted them to.
However my most successful spell has been done! It was a simple desire and visualization spell. Basically it was a prosperity spell for some quick cash. What I did was (with intense desire) actually visualize how I was going to get the money and that's exactly what happened! Now you have to understand that the money didn't come from nowhere or out of the blue. It came from one of my current clients that I do business cards for. I actually visualized the my client ordering more cards from me with the end result of him paying me for them - and that is exactly what happened! I did the whole visualization the night before because I was determined to see him the next day - which I did. I can now honestly and truly say that spells do work!
You may wonder why I needed to know this. Well I have my own Book of Shadows and one of the things that I want on the cover is a pentagram and I think that it would be best if I had one that I drew myself - just to make it more personal and make it a design that was drawn by my own hand.
This is often encouraged because the more personal your tools are the better the effectiveness in your spells and such.
Now the next thing I have to do is decide specifically what type of design of the pentagram I want - something more than just a simple black and white drawing.
Basically what a BOS is is a gathering place for all one's notes and references. I also have a diary/journal section in mine as well. My original BOS started out as one of those black and white composition books but organizing the notes became a problem. I had wanted to get a black notebook but the store that I was at didn't have any and I wanted to get started right away! So I got the composition book. Want to hear something wierd? The next time I went into the store there it was! A black, 3 ring, binder notebook - all by itself! I grabbed it and now its mine!
You may be curious about my BOS and you can use it as a basis for your own BOS.
The first thing that I put in my BOS was my diary/journal thoughts and entries. In fact I think the first entry is where I wrote down the date that I started and then after that I just wrote in it like a regular diary. Here are some other things in my BOS:
PS
Which reminds me I really have to add a tarot section as well as I do readings!
So that's just an example of my BOS and what I have in it (so far).
