There Is Definitely A "Nip" In The Air!

I can not believe that I actually have a long-sleeved shirt on! Last night I had to have a blanket over me because it was that cool! After going through the "heat spell" that was the last 2 months I can hardly believe that the temperatures are cooler!

Of course this now reminds me of my most favorite time of the year which is the Mabon season! The Mabon season starts in September - usually around the 21st of the month. Mabon is also known as Alban Elfed, Winter Finding and The Second or Continuing Harvest. This is my most favorite time of the year! There are leaves that have already fallen, the "back to school" sales have already begun and we have Halloween and Thanksgiving but a few months away.

Mabon also represents the time of the year when we start to make preparations to prepare ourself for the upcoming winter.

It is the season of pound cake, nuts and some other things that I can't remember right now - LOL!

While we are still in the month of August and I have learned to appreciate each and every day as it comes I still look forward to Mabon because - as I said before - it is my most favorite time of the year!
